Basic sand dirt effect

Hi, I have some weathering magizines that I can follow, they are very advanced for me, so I was hop on the current tank build that I could follow some basic process to give that summer worn look.  If I follow the guides to the letter I will be requiring a lot of extra paints etc.  I did pick up this so I was hoping that some of this could be utilised for the job.  I'm trying to learn as I go and not get things wrong with the lack of experience.
