Wez,

I'd be up for this, but I'm a bit unclear: is something French used by the French OK?

Alan

You can add me, I have an AMX-50 Fosh tank destroyer in the stash & plans to scratch build some of the other AMX-50 variants too.

Intersting choice, looks as though it draws heavily on the Panther or Tiger in some respects.  I like it!

Welcome both, room for more, plenty of choice for subject matter too.

Wez,

I have some Heller vehicles in 1/43 that could have 'French connection', so I would like to check up with you whether something from this list could be eligible for this GB?

I understand these cars are definitely French-made:

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-80175-2-cv-citroen--146685

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-80162-ds-19-citroen--146684

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-71231-205-rallye--345101

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-80192-peugeot-206-wrc--169573

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-80115-307-wrc--146678

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-80150-r5-turbo--146681

But what makes me curious whether THESE are ok with GB rules:

- Williams-Honda FW11B, driven by Nigel Mansell at 1987 FRENCH Grand Prix, at Paul Ricard circuit, and achieving win in that race

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-79801-williams-f1--195981

-McLaren-TAG Porsche MP4/3, driven by reigning champion Alain Prost (FRENCHMAN), during 1987 F1 season.

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/heller-79800-mac-laren-f1--169557

Thanks in advance for clarification, I would probably join with something from this list.

Cheers,

S.

I'm undecided about this one, yes it was used in France but I'm not sure there's enough of a French connection there, now if it had a Renault engine... (...I don't know enough about F.1 to know if that's even possible).

Alain Prost  - definitely allowed.

It would be great to see some of these in the GB, let me know if you're happy with this.

Thanks Wez, I'm not sure yet how my 2021 schedule would look like, but there is enough time to decide - I'm sure there will be enough votes for GB to pass selection, so I will let you know in decent time.

I'm certainly interested in this GB with some of these kits.

Cheers,

S.

I'd like to sign up too.  I fancy a Normandie-Niemen twofer in 1/72 or 1/48 scales: Mirage F1 and Yak-3.

Joseph,

That sounds like a cracking plan to me and one I'd certainly like to see especially done by yourself.

Welcome along and thanks for signing up.

Room for more inside, come and join us.

If it was made in France, used in France or by the French, on land, sea or in the air it would be welcome no matter what the subject, you would just have to prove the French connection (e.g French markings).

Weekday bump!

French units within other countries services are fine too, such as the Normandie-Niemen group fighting alongside the Russians on the Eastern Front would be allowed.

Friday nudge - anyone else up for this one?

If I'm ever going do build a Morane-Saulnier 406, it should be in this GB, n'est ce pas?

Your choice it is. But ta difference there is.

This GB needs to be voted in first, but if 25 members support the MS 406 STGB I propose, it will happen. And even in the case both do happen, there are tones of other stuff to build in this GB.

Cheers, Peter
