Jasonb13
Thanks Wez! As it happens I got the answer elsewhere on the forum, I should have replied here to say that. Thanks!
Bill Davis
The pre-war French bombers are really ugly, and interesting. I wish there were more modern kits available. Not kits based on 1960's Heller designs.

TonyOD
I've just come by a rather lovely little Arma Hobby Yak-1b (cheers @Graham T) which can be built as a Normandie-Niemen kite. It's literally one sprue, all white scheme. I might try to squeeze it in...

The Breguet 410. It has a number of interesting features, The spoiler behind the pilot, now adopted by Formula 1 to increase downforce. There is a prop to stop the guns in the front turret drooping, now replaced by Viagra Surely after building a greenhouse at the front there would be enough glass to give the pilot a bit of shelter ! Is there a model of this one available ? 2 3

I assume the nose was either cleaned before flight, or the slipstream removed it... Well, it was done overnight by a ground crew to prank a unit commander sometime in 1979. Some unlucky pilot had to fly a training mission in it the very next day. It seems to be a hasty paint job, uneven coverage, the centers of "0" numbers are still natural metal, and the area around the windshield seems untouched (obviously they didn't have enough Tamiya masking tape to cover all transparencies, haha), I think on purpose. The nose however, was originally painted, as evidenced by a picture below, and also a crude moustache was painted on the sides. Some reports also claim the upper nose area was not painted on purpose, as the pilot who had to fly a mission the very next day would be put in danger if that paint peeled off or somehow got moved and stained the windshield/limited visibility. I am not sure if I really dare to do it...
