corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I treachreously use the Pre New year to stab the contract.... One month before the promises of good behaviour.... However I cleaned up a bit my waiting room for kits, I need something NEW !! So, here I start a new thread.... Aaaaand Yes, promise broken here !! for the ones that are not used to my lunacy, Yes, I'm mad !! I bought that one back in the '90s Then I bought this one in the 2000's And last year the third musketeer has landed at CC castle !! I love this trick, 3 kits of the same aircraft in 3 differents brands !! Comparison but not totally rivet counting here... Because.... And I prefer a good laugh !! Now... Goodies.... The Flightpath kit was expensive at the time... And still is, But It's a great deal of researches I will use it as a template mainly... I'm now addicted to our Dear alien's way to deal with detailling... Aka white plastic stuff ! Well now, there will be a FAA Sea Fury to go in my Korean War serie, I have right what I need... HMS Glory cruise with Sammy the storck !! Then A blue Sea Fury !! Aussies this one will be for you !! And finally, a more exotic one !! Tiger stripped Sea fury from the Cuban air force !! Now Ladies and Gents... Some comparisons... Wheels ??? The white metal ones from Flightpath look right ! and will be used as such... Now, Roy's ones look pretty good too !!! Fuel tanks ??? Yes !! Have a good laugh... But spinners are even more fun !! For the fuselage, Jobbycraft is fairly good ! Airfix is faring far better... And side by side... Go away, there's nothing interesting to see... Above pic is Airfix versus Hobbycraft... And then Hobbycraft and Trumpeter .... My great bet will be that no hen will recognize his chick when they will be finished and painted... Let's say one CC'ity... Then, I'll surely start another thread with a greater lunacy... shared with the @Martian Hale..... I'll post pics of the real thing soon... Feel free to share any experiences with these kits !! It's always helpfull !! Thread drift is allowed if not encouraged here Bantering is mandatory !! Take a seat at the Bar, have a Belgian beer and enjoy !! Sincerely. CC 16
Col.
Multiple Sea Fury? Good man! I'll have that beer with you sir Oh, you asked about experiences with the kits; built the Hobbycraft one a long time ago but remember reinforcing the fuselage join with strips of plastic sheet internally as it was somewhat weak. Martian
Good man. Now remember that real Sea Furies have Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Australian Navy or Kon. Marine written on them. We don't want you to have to write this out a thousand times (no copy and paste allowed) do we? Hello Col ! Cheers !! Thank you for the tip !! She will be stuffed with resin and white metal, reinforcement will be mandatory !! 8 hours ago, Martian Hale said: Good man. Culham codes, CH if I remember, if you have a pic, I'll be on !! That mean a fourth Sea fury !! Good plan !! Now it's been a while since I posted some food porn... I tried a new recipe today... Pepperonies stuffed with a specially prepared meat loaf, spices, dried grapes and so on ! Here's the thing ready to enter the oven, I like to put the spots in the oven too It was taaasty and SWMBO was delighted !! More extra points for Telford 2021 !! Now back at the ladies...Here's what can be called a "completely unuseful gubbin" Great idea Mr Trumpy, an open engine cowling... But there is no engine at all, So doors opened on the astronomical void... Knowing that the Trumpeter undercarriage is not the best one, I've got this... Here's what Hobbycraft used to call a Bristol Centaurus... Aaand, as my kit is an Elite serie one... I have a PE fret !! We finally are pretty lucky... See how much our favourite hobby has evolved in 30 years or so... Well... For the cockpit tub, it's another story... It is the return of the pilot with arms on his hips... from left to right, Oh sorry from Port to Starboard.. Zobbycraft, Flightpath, Trumpeter and Airfix.. The trumpy one is really done for the pilot with arms on his hips.. Clearly not shallow enough... I'll need some work... Or some bucks... More to come soon !! Thanks for the support !! Sincerely. Marklo
And they’re all supposed to be kits of the same model Sea Fury? Should be fun to make them all match. I really like the Sea Fury ( but oddly still haven’t bought one, but it will more than likely be that Airfix one if I do) so will be watching if this one gets into gear. Liking the recipes too btw.
bar side
Always likes a Sea Fury. The first one I remember seeing was this one it left an impression on me! 2
LorenSharp
Ooooo And here I just posted a question not more than 3 hours ago on which is the better Sea Fury kit,(knowing first hand that the HobbyCraft is NOT in the running or the same class not in the same universe really). Taking a seat, with notebook in hand. This I must watch! Isn't serendipity great. Gotta love this place.

Would it mean that I have to buy a fifth Sea Fury ??? coz' I'll make a canuckian one for having a form of diversity... 3 hours ago, Marklo said: And they’re all supposed to be kits of the same model Sea Fury? Hello Marklo, Making them all match is the name of the game... Pure insanity displayed on here... The same one than in my Mustang thread.... 2 hours ago, bar side said: Always likes a Sea Fury. I've been lucky enough to be close to it It was Waoww !! Impressive at least... My first tought was, is this engine going start or explode ??? But then.... I fell in love... 1 hour ago, LorenSharp said: Ooooo And here I just posted a question not more than 3 hours ago on which is the better Sea Fury kit,(knowing first hand that the HobbyCraft is NOT in the running or the same class not in the same universe really). Taking a seat, with notebook in hand. This I must watch! Isn't serendipity great. Gotta love this place. Hello Loren, Easy !! The Airfix one is the one to do I bought the Hobbycraft one in the '90s when it has been issued Then, the Flightpath kit, wich was twice the price of the kit itself... Then the Trumpy one... But the Airfix one is clearly the best of the gang !! Well, I worked till 9PM, and I badly needed a bit of plastic respite... So, I just take on the furies... Just for a Skull session..... You bet !! Hobby vs Airfix... Seem a problem but not at all Just a difference in design... Pfiuuu !! The same here in Trumpy vs Airfix Just a bit more annoying but still easily fixed... Same fear, but nothing's bad on here, the wing fell right in its place Pfiuuuu X3.... Now, Ho Leholetru, the mad riveter of trumpeter has let loose on this kit... Putting rivets... Lots of rivets where we did'nt need them.... And of course... Where would be the pleasure... No rivets where it is mandatory... The Airfix kit will be the template for the skin of the beasts... Correcting the Hobby... And the Trumpy... Did you see what I mean ??? The Trumpy will be the Australian one... Navy blue with all these holes ??? Sanding ahead !!! The seats now... Easy Peasy for the Airfix ones... Once again, Hobbycraft is better than Trumpy... Amazing... Is'nt it ?? Here the template will be the Ultracast seat, the resin one on the left... Oooops Port Well, no more modelling for 3 evening working days... See you later... Take good care of you and yours, And happy modelling !! Sincerely. The Spadgent
Aaand there’s another CC build. You temptress, since I sold the 1/72 one I have no sea-fury in the stash. 😍 wonderful work on the three amigos. 😇😇😇 Johnny

There's already 5 Mustangs, So a 5th Culham Sea Fury will pass unnoticed for SWMBO..... 19 minutes ago, The Spadgent said: Aaand there’s another CC build. That will soon turn into a 5 build up... Well, I'll have a look at my LHS, wich happen to be a newspaper seller ... So it's open.... Have a great modelling lockdown ! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I let these Ladies down for almost a year.... That's not good CC.... Hawker Modelling session, Mr Camm would have been proud... I presume... I've had a funny time with Mrs CC Trying to induce her in the Scottish way of sarnie... But she sticked to the white wine with her smoked salmon.... Next time perhaps... When I grew up, I wanna be a Sea Fury seat... Hobbycraft offering is at least basic... On we are !! Airfix internals are quite good... Nonetheless, I will improve it with the Barracuda and Flightpath extra kits... Using it as a template... That will be fun indeed !! Take care Gents... Sincerely. heloman1
An interesting build, three of the best, what can possibly go wrong? Nothing! My late Father-in-law was part of the Royal Marine Band aboard HMS Ocean, during the Korean War. They were tasked with helping the armourers load rockets amongst other things. I'll follow your build with interest. I have the Falcon vac-form kit somewhere, which I was building as Furiaas the Reno racer. It stalled, due to lack of decals.
