Saw this at Hannants -- anyone else seen anything about this?

As Steve states, it is based on the original A-4 kit. I already two A-4 kits and, two of the C-6 reboxing. The kit is an absolute delight. It's like a mini version of the lovely 1/32 kit! IOt's a tad fiddly to build, especially the cockpit but, I don't think you will be disappointed

I have one each of both, so I'm pretty chuffed myself!

I have to admit to shouting "yes!" out loud when I read about it, which is most out of character for this emotionally repressed Englishman. The ensuing consternation not only caused Mrs Lasermonkey to raise an eyebrow, the local gentry were talking about it for days after. I fear I shall never live it down.

For those of us who are Battle Of Britain enthusiasts, the A-1 subtype has been long overdue and hearing that it is based on a well-regarded kit is reassuring. I've already been eyeing up potential decal sheets, but I suspect that more will be forthcoming.

I for one think that this model deserves its own thread.

Cheers,

Mark.

So did I, but I only had the cat for company at the time. He wasn’t bothered, either by my exclamation or the announcement.

I'm happy for you 1/72 Specialists.  It is a long time coming.  I guess I will stick to my plan to convert a pro modeler 1/48 A4 to an A1.

I will be interested in seeing this one built.

If you are happy with a 1/48 model you can convert the Special Hobby C4 version into an early C2 nightfigher which uses the A1 airframe by using Aires conversion parts.

Know the feeling!! My cat simply opened her eyes, yawned and gave me that typically feline look of contempt as if to say " what is that pathetic human on about now!!:lol:

I'm very pleased to see this coming as it will fill the bill for early BoB era aircraft, I hope it will lead to an A-5 which fills the later BoB variant and served through to about 1942 in various guises in all theatres.

I shall definitely get at least one A-1 and if it contains the parts on the sprues to make a C-2, I shall buy more.

My pet ferret Tarquin is however, somewhat non-plussed at this news (but that's ferrets for you - too cool for school those guys)!
