Merlin
Hi, Will a moisture trap also stop oil from entering hose ? How can one check for oil in a hose ? Merlin
little-cars
Difficult question, is this an in theory question, or do you have a specific setup and problem? Paul

A moisture trap should remove any entrained liquid from the air passing through it. It won't remove vapour from the air, so if the air is still cooling and the hose is long enough vapour still has a chance to condense in the hose. When using a moisture trap and lubricator combination (not applicable to airbrushes, but common with air driven power tools) the moisure trap is always placed before the lubricator so that it doesn't remove the oil mist you've just introduced to lubricate your air tool. Flush with water/mild detergent mix then blow through with dry air to clean, or if heavily contaminated bin it and get a new one?
