F-6F-5 Hellcat 1/72 Eduard

Recommended Posts

Hello!

This is my new kit.

In this time it was a  testing some new technologies for me.

Plastic set of excellent quality. But anyway I used aftermarket sets.

Resin engine, fuel tank, gunsight and exhaust from Quikboost.

Machine gun barrel from Master.

Resin wheels from Reskit.

New to me was the use of decal rivets HGW.

Paints HATAKA.

Weathering oil dots and washes, salt dots and pigments.

Decal is Berna decal.

Excellent weathering, really a fine looking model.

What can you say about the Berna decals? I used them once (on a P-39) and I found them to be terrible thick. Yours look ok, however. Maybe Berna changed the printer?

I agree with you. Decal is thick and bad stick.

Great looking Hellcat Dmitry, I`m currently near the end of a 48th scale one also in French markings, hope it turns out as nice as yours.
