Vinster
Hey all, i know this is probably a very silly question but how do you airbrush a camp freehand i have huge admiration for all the modellers I've seen do this. Do i need to get a high-quality air bush or thin my paints more. It's a skill I'd love to learn. Also has anyone tried hataka paints or any others as I'm looking into getting them for a FAA paint scheme.

Dads203
Paint mixing, air pressure and distance from the model are the secret to get the best tight demarcation with spraying Vinster. I find that the lacquer based paints like MRP and the new Tamiya range are best suited for fine work as they have really fine pigmentation. A good quality airbrush also helps with a smaller needle size, a 0.3 is a good all rounder for most paint types but you can go down to a 0.23 or a 0.2 for really fine work.
