TEXANTOMCAT
Bit of fun this one - the Kelloggs kits really are lovely - I remember seeing one of these built up at the much missed Model Engineer Exhibition in the early 90s' the chap had rigged it - with hair! Paul J
Lovely little things I still have a bunch leftover (after 'losing ' 6 at a model show in September) unbuilt and kept for a future task! Inspired by those two in above post.

Paul J
Funnily enough I do have a couple nearly finished Just stumped for decals. They are the Short empire and a Valetta/Viking. Think I have some suitable roundles for the Valetta. And could you Modeldecal generic set for it using the smallest 4" digits for the fuselage... they might be a bit big but will try.

Couldn’t find a kit of the Maia to go on top so had to scratchbuild it. I think I have the names right and the right way round but stand to be corrected. And just remembered- I mounted it on a jar of Hellmans ! 3
k5054nz
I've wanted an Empire for a while...what sort of price would one expect to pay, should they be able to track one down?

There are two S23 'Empires' available, one in 1/144 from Welsh models vacform and another from CMR in resin in 1/72. The smaller one is a lovely little kit, whereas the larger one has very heavy detail and you have to sell your first born to pay for one !! I have both - and no children ! 1
JosephLalor
That's the first model of an Armstrong Whitworth Atalanta I've ever seen.
Adrian Hills
Sorry if I'm beginning to sound like a knowitall. I have an Air Craft Models kit in 1/144 of the Atalanta which is really quite acceptable in its vac form guise. Evidently Welsh models do an injection kit in the same scale. I also have a weeny Kellogs jobbie but doubt if I'll make as good a job of it as the Texantomcat 🙂

As a wee tip- the wheels on the Atalanta are crap, they’re way too small so I rubbed down the ‘tyres’ a bit and popped on a couple of tiny black O rings. Bosh! And no painting worries! Thanks for the Welsh Models tip. Given that Denzil’s put out some interesting things over the years they’re strangely easy to forget about. Now where’s me Cargomaster?
