Airfix 1/32nd Fiesta and Mini rally cars

Hi All,

The boss bought me two Airfix 1/32nd rally cars last christmas(Fiesta and Mini). The last time i built a car model was about 20+years ago, i think an escort rally car for someone at work. I don't want to overthink things but does anyone know of any accessories for them. Particularly decals for the instrument panels.

Hi Rodders . I 've built both Mini and Fiesta . They went together well , only let down being the plastic tyres . The Fiestas decals were a bit off putting for me , so I left it white,  as a Test Car . There will be pictures of both cars on here somewhere.

Hi you could try 1/32farmingmodels on facebook. he prints decals and may be able to print whatever you want

Hi, It's been a long time but i hope to start the Fiesta RC soon. I've looked at a few pictures of models done and the floor seems to be a sort of silver colour and the belts are blue. I really like the red belts but is it more accurate with blue ones and has anyone an idea of the colour of the floor. It looks a sort of silvery white colour,

Hi Rodders , long time no speak on this subject ! The floor , both inside and out , should be silver or aluminium . Inside the body shell is silver or aluminium as well .

Thanks, yes i work at the pace of a snail pulling a sloth and had other things on. I was going to ask about inside the bodyshell as i thought it would be black like the exterior.

Glad to help . Most modern works team built rally cars seem to have silver /  aluminium undercoats nowadays . Having said that , i think the Mini is white.....

Sorry to bother but are the internal roll bars aluminium as well as the body interior and floor,

No bother at all . Yes the the rollbars are aluminium too .

I recently acquired the Mini and would like to know can anyone here point any directions to what to do with those poor tires please ?

I was aware of that the tires would be the weak part of this.

Any help or info would be highly appreciated.

Is there any after-market tires and or wheels available ?

 

All my searches earlier has provided a vague info, I have a few options so far, but I would like to know if any details can be found here.

Hi Teemu . I have built both Mini and Fiesta Airfix kits and on both I painted the tyres Matt black , being careful not to over paint the wheel rims , obviously ! They are weak points on what are great little kits .
