Revell 1:72 Shackleton AEW2 WL756

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Bought this ages ago, started it, fought with it, gave up, started again, fought again and now am calling it done!!

Had some real fitting issues, and was gutted to find out i had to paint the propeller ends myself( the airfix one has decals!!)

It did however prompt me to build a little diarame/backscene thing!

Finished as No.8 Squadrons WL756 as seen by me at the 1988 RAF Chivenor Airshow :)

I admire your persistence in finishing the Shackleton and thank you for stating down the difficulties while putting together the Shack.I bought three Revell's Shack thinking it will be an easier build compare to the Airfix's example.I however do have a box of the Shackleton from Airfix and I am thinking of starting that one first to gauge the level of difficulty.Coming back to your kit,I simply like the way you have completed it,clean and lean with subtle weathering but not toylike in appearance.Great work1

Hello Jon,

Excellent finish, on model and your photographic skills.

Really a joy to study all the details.

Regards, Orion
