Soesterberg Phantom F-4E 1/48 Hasegawa

Recommended Posts

Here a 1/48 Phantom f-4e in 32nd TFS markings based at Soesterberg (Camp Nieuw Amsterdam), Netherlands . Resin cockpit and exhaust and mr color paints.

It's said the squadron was the only USAF unit authorized to use the Royal crest of another country.

Some info on the 32nd, now inactive, if anyone is interested:

Agreed - beautiful build.

Could I ask how you did the white canopy sealing?

Will

Hi Will, thanks for the comments. When you buy the Eduard canopy masking set, it enables you to do sealing as well. Took me a while to decipher the instructions in order to achieve this.🧐

Very impressive build and superb finish. I really like the restrained weathering and panel line shading - if overdone it detracts from the authentic look and can easily end up looking toy-like. This looks great and is some something I aspire to (if my skills improve)

Hello Rob,

Thanks for sharing your F-4 with us.

Finished to perfection. Great photography and what I like also is the presentation of the real aircraft.

Regards, Orion - The Netherlands.

Thanks Orion for the nice comments. Photography done with 2 desk lamps, an Iphone6 and black vinyl backdrop :-) There is another post with a "Dutch" connection, a 320 sq B-25, posted some 2 weeks ago. I do have a 1/24 spitfire mark IX conversion in the inventory in 322 sq markings, but have to wait till I have a bigger photo backdrop. Thanks!
