Erik Leijdens
Hi Guys! here is my 1/48 Musthave F-86K. The K was derivative of the D Sabre Dog and was fitted with cannons in stead of the rocket pack fitted on D models. This meant the centre of gravity changed and thus the fuselage was lengthened. Musthave has taken the standard RevellOgram F-86D kit and supplemented it with a new injection K fuselage which fits perfectly!. My model depicts machine from 702 squadron Royal Netherlands airforce in 1959. I've painted it with AK extreme metal colours. Baldy
F-86s of one kind or another are popular at the mo! I like your faded metal look on this one - it looks used. Cheers Malcolm
Florent François
It looks magnificent, I love the way you did those metal shades and weathering!

JohnHaa
Erik, Very nice paint job ! I did not know that the "K " had a longer fuselage, something learned here, ....:-) Thanks for showing this beautiful old bird. Greetings JohnHaa
72modeler
Erik, That is a beautiful K! Your metal finish is very realistic, too. One question: what is the purpose of that curved black line on the LH side of the fuselage? Never seen that before. Now you need to do a 1/48 F-84F to go with this one! Voorreffelijk! Thanks for your comment mate! The black line runs to a yellow rescue arrow on top of the fuselage, so I think it’s some sort of guideline for the ground crew. And regarding your comment about the F-84F; I did both the E and F, now on to a RF! erik

srkirad
Very nice job. I like the shading on some panels, and actually whole model is very neat. BTW, this the first time I see Dutch Sabre Dog, so I'm a bit surprised. Cheers, S.
