useful link for colour conversion

Recommended Posts

I've had a look at this and I am completely confused as to how to use it or even what it is for.

I cant see any useful info like FS, ANA or BS codes. Nor any mention of paint brands for modellers.

Have I missed something?

Mark

Mark, @MarkH206 the chart given by @Bozothenutter is a HEX chart, definition:-

"Designers and developers use HEX colors in web design. A HEX color is expressed as a six-digit combination of numbers and letters defined

by its mix of red, green and blue (RGB). Basically, a HEX color code is shorthand for its RGB values with a little conversion gymnastics in between."

Think that's confusing? Try a Pantone chart!

What I did was take a pic from historycolours.de, loaded that in a photo editor, used the dropper to get a HEX code put that into the site and it gives you a LOT of info on the colour, and close matching brands (some not modelling related)
