Hasegawa/Eduard 1/48 F-104G ROCAF

Hi all,

 

Latest one of the production line is my 3rd Hasegawa 1/48 F-104 Starfighter (an Eduard boxing this time) finished in the markings of the Republic Of China Air Force (ROCAF) as she would have appeared in the early 1980's. Painted with a mix of Gunze and Xtracrylix paints and finished with Bestfong decals ( excellent by the way) I hope you like her.

Very nice MM :). Who doesn't like a Starfighter (I'm biased, of course!). How did you find the Bestfong decals? I have the set in 1/72 and one day want to build an A-model of the CNAF too.

Thanks Martin, the Bestfong decals worked very well and settled down nicely, there were a couple of tiny white "points" sticking out from the edge of some of the national markings but they were very easily dealt with so i would definitely recommend them. I would love to see your ROCAF "A" so let me know when you are building it.

Thanks James, the SEA camo really suits the F-104, I think they look better than NMF ones.

Agreed on the camo. I also never knew China used 104’s.
