72modeler
Just now saw this photo, and it was a new Meatbox photo to me, dated 1998. According to the caption, it was one of two built from modified T7'sthat had the tail section of the F8 grafted on, so supposedly were known as T7 1/2's. I'm guessing the two were bailed to Martin Baker for bang seat testing? A pretty neat modeling project, I would think! RidgeRunner
Hi Mike, @72modeler Yes, they've had them for a long time. They pop up at airshows occasionally? More recently they've gone to the civil register. As you say, they are nice machines. Martin
Mr T
Special Hobby have done a kit of the T. 7 with F. 8 tail, still not right for a Martin-Baker test airframe because of the rear seat mods. One is being used for F35 seat tests
F-32
You don't see them very often at airshows, they are/were the oldest active military aircraft in the UK. This one is at the RAF Museum Cosford, photographed it at the airshow a couple of years ago: Ejector seat Meteor by tony_inkster, on Flickr At Kemble back in 2011: IMG_0546 by tony_inkster, on Flickr Boscombe Down in 1992: Meteor by tony_inkster, on Flickr
