Hmmm not sure if this qualifies for Maritime WIP

Truth is I needed a bit of fun. I don't want to rush the TID Tug to get it on the club stand at Telford.

The Gearing just isn't doing it for me, I take my hat of to you guys who model in 1/350th and beyond. Scratch building in comparison is a walk in the park.

So her's what has fired my imagination (and before you say anything this is after the tablets they gave me).

I can only post a link due to copyright

Wow that's some link. Alamy is a great site for ref pics.

This pic conjures up so many thoughts. Who built her, what happened to the crew ...................

Here's where I'm at

Using a hull I had around

The horizontal pieces marked with blue are there as spacers at this time

That is quite a link!   And I think with some justification we can begin to say that you're entering your "abstract" period :coolio:

I think we should hold a sweepstake as to just where this is going...…………..

So this is going to be a major weathering project. As someone who grew up near the sea, this is most interesting.

Blimey, I shudder to think what the response would have been if the term seagull had crept in there somehow. It never crossed my mind, lets be clear about that. ;) :D

Wow that's some link.

With long links like that you can embed them in the post text

Write something appropriate, highlight it then click on the chain icon in the post edit bar (or control/right click) and paste the link into the dialogue box.

The result is like this:- Link Here

Dictionary definition

2.

relating to or denoting art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but rather seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, colours, and textures.

Yeah !! I am on the right pills, I'm happy with that

Well if someone can pull off a miniature bit of driftwood on a beach it’s going to be you Kev. I can see another possible IPMS West Cornwall winner in the making here ;) Must be the Damp salty water that does it !

 From the Master that's kind

We must be Polar Opposites. You on a mountain surrounded by soggy sheep

Me on the coast surrounded by soggy emmets

                                                                             🤣

Yes, there is some great scenery, for sure. I've been away from it for almost 40 years now, living up here in the middle of the aboreal forest of northwest Canada.

Thank you all for your kind comments/likes. Just goes to show how BM is really just a collection of sandwiches looking for a picnic.

Thought I'd better keep you in the loop with the progress ...........

Bleached wood nearly there and I've been playing with some Grandt Line bolts, not fixed yet
