Redboost
Hi folks, perhaps all has been said about the story of Alexander Vraciu, but it never bores... Finally I paid off my debt not having it in my collection. Also, the Eduard kit is already well known proven in the time and builds simply well. I added only the raised HGW rivets as without them it can hardly looks like the product of the Grumman Ironworks. Cheers Libor 37
Lightningboy2000
Stunning work as always, but this is 1/48 or bigger isn't it. Not 1/72! Who needs to build larger than 1/72 anyway! Martin

opus999
Fantastic! I especially like the exhaust stains and the zinc chromate showing through the worn paint. Very well done!

Mark4700
Now that is superb. Perfect paint and weathering. The more you look, the more detail you see. Love it. I only wish you’d done a WIP so I could have followed your build.
Xirurg
+1 on weathering. Really nice job. Those HGW rivets - is that a decal or they are actually raised?
Redboost
Not exactly a decal , but they are applied in similar way, and they are raised indeed, something like 0.1mm.
Hobo
Another beauty Libor. Can you briefly discuss how you created the exhaust stains? Thank you and I'm enjoying your WIP of the Arma Yak-1.
Redboost
The exhaust stains were airbrushed using couple of light sand and off white colours applied on black base layer.
Squibby
Very impressive work. I like the use of chromate primer instead of the usual aluminium where the paint on the rivets is worn through. Nice work on the rivets as well, must have taken you an age to do.
Redboost
Well, it wasn’t so bad, close to two regular decal sessions or so. The rivets are printed in larger sections, but they need to dry out properly before the carrier layer is removed from the surface.
