Humbro enamel over Acrylic Primer

There very well may be, depending on the "acrylic." If it is a water-based acrylic or one using a mild solvent (such as Tamiya's), the enamel may lift it. If it is an acrylic lacquer, an enamel over it may be okay. These days, with so many different "acrylics' out there, it's hard to know without some experimentation.

And contrary to what PhantomBigStu says, acrylic over enamel is fine in most cases, again depending on the formulation of the "acrylic." I've used water-based and Tamiya's acrylics as washes over Humbrol enamel for years and have never had a problem.

I don't have any experience with Vallejo so cant' be of much help, I'm afraid. But if it were me, I'd prepare a test panel (or piece of an old kit) by applying the Vallejo primer then allowing it to thoroughly dry. Then I'd apply the Humbrol enamel and see what happens. You didn't indicate whether you are brushing or spraying, but sometimes you can get away with applying incompatible paints by spraying them in very light mist coats and allowing them to dry thoroughly before applying another. Again, experimentation is highly recommended.

I'm going to be airbrushing if I can.  My cheap airbrush keeps clogging up, maybe time for an upgrade.
