Popular Post HartDeco
Hi all. I recently finished KP's 1/48 Su-25UTG in the colours of the Russian Navy. On the internet I found photos of real aircraft with very faded paint on it. This is what I tried to reproduce. The resin cockpit is from SBS and I added extra panel lines, rivets and numerous scratch built details. I used Akan paints but all colours were mixed to match those on the photos. Weathering was done with Abteilung oil paints. Thank you for watching. 98

Baldy
Super weathering - I too have seen some pictures of these jets looking rather the worse for wear! Good build quality too - not the best of kits so really well done. Cheers Malcolm
whiskey
Wowza! Is the darker blue really that rich looking or is it just the pictures?

Spitfire31
A convincingly over-the-top grubby Frogfoot! My only Q would be the very bright red stars and '08' markings. They look freshly applied on that abused airframe – perhaps they were? I haven't seen the pics. Anyway, superb detailing and a genuinely artistic portrayal of ground crew neglect! Kind regards, Joachim

The Red star and Bort numbers are quite bright compared to the faded paint. René 40 minutes ago, Spitfire31 said:
