With the availability of the beautiful Airfix Meteor F.Mk 8 kit, we plan to release a sheet covering some more "exotic" operators of this classic fighter in both 1/48th and 1/72nd scales:

HD48038 & HD72038 Gloster Meteor F Mk.8 / FR Mk.9

- 44481  -  Meteor F.8, Royal Danish Air Force, 1953  - Dark Green / Dark Sea Grey / Medium Sea Grey camo with colorful "Lörn" unit insignia;

 ١٤٢١ /1421 - Meteor F.8, Egyptian Air Force, 1956  - Aluminium scheme; ( armed with 8 Sakr rockets, the same as used a.o. on EAF MiG-17Fs, MiG-15bis, Vampires and Yak-11s )

٤١٦  -  Meteor F.8, Syrian Air Force, 1956  - Dark Green / Mid Stone / PRU Blue camo;

٤٨١  -  Meteor FR.9, Syrian Air Force, 1956 - Dark Green / Mid Stone / PRU Blue camo; ( with overpainted camera windows, used solely as fighter-bombers )

- FF-115 - Meteor FR.9, Ecuadorian Air Force, 1974 - Aluminium scheme with red nose and intakes. ( with overpainted camera windows, used solely as fighter-bombers,  armed with HVAR rockets )

Although some of the Meteors operated by the a.m. Air Forces were available in decal form in the past ( unfortunately with many errors ), currently available informations allow to recreate these birds in much more detail...and, in fact, we selected interesting individual airplanes never previously covered, either by kit manufacturers or aftermarket.

The decals are scheduled for release in March, in time for the release of Airfix FR.Mk.9 recce Meteor in 1/72nd scale.

More details soon

Greetings

Diego

That Hunter sheet is highly anticipated:-). I hope you will include both early and late style numbers for the camo birds (i.e. numbers on the rear fuselage and front fuselage respectively)?

Re. RDAF Hunters, some options are indeed planned :)

Re. RDAF Meteors, there will be only one option, but, IMHO the most interesting and colorful one...

Our popular decals for Su-7 BKL/BMK in 1/72 and 1/48 scales have been just reprinted in an updated form ( based on the newest available informations)  and are now available again.

Here the contents:

HD48012 & HD 72042 Su-7 BMK / BKL Fitter A (7)

* Su-7 BMK red 57, 802nd Training Aviation Regiment, Soviet Air Force, Krasnodar Academy, 1974 in Dark Green / Tan camouflage scheme;
* Su-7 BMK black 7649, 53rd Squadron, 205th Fighter-Bomber Brigade, Egyptian Air Force, El-Mansourah A.B., during the October 1973 war, in "Nile Valley" Dark Green / Grey-Green / Sand camouflage;
* Su-7 BMK black 7689, 52nd Squadron, 205th Fighter-Bomber Brigade, Egyptian Air Force, Bilbeis A.B., during the October 1973 war, in Green / Sand camouflage;
* Su-7 BKL red 807, 3rd Fighter-Bomber Regiment, Polish Air Force, Bydgoszcz A.B., 1980, in Aluminium overall scheme;
* Su-7 BMK red 420, 335th Fighter-Bomber Regiment, Afghan Air Force, Bagram A.B., 1979-1980, in Aluminium overall scheme;
* Su-7 BMK black 816, 19th Squadron, Syrian Arab Air Force, Dmeyr A.B., during the October 1973 war, in Blue-Green / Sand camouflage;
* Su-7 BMK black 335, 21st Attack Squadron, Algerian Air Force, Laghouat A.B., deployed to Egypt during the October 1973 war and repainted in Egyptian "Nile Valley" Dark Green / Grey-Green / Sand camouflage.

... the decal sheet includes for the very first time the correct, highly elaborated Afghan roundels used between 1978 and 1980...Although these were available in the past from different manufacturers, due to lack of detailed pictorial informations they renderings were in the best case "sketchy" and devoid of any detail.

Hi Diego,

Any news regarding sheet HD48029, please? I've got a 1/48 Hunter T.72 kit screaming for some Chilean markings.

It's been a while now for that release that my kit's been dwelling in the shelf of doom ever since then.

Cheers.

Muy buenos dias Pajarito,

With the announced release of the Airfix FGA.9/FR.10 Hunter in 1/48 during the summer months, we can finally proceed with this sheet. In the meantime we had the possibility to get new, great informations concerning a.o. the Chilean FGA.9 modified for the recce role during the Beagle crisis, wearing an attractive light blue grey camouflage. These will be of course included in the upcoming sheet, together with the  FACh  T.72 wearing the spectacular "Asia Minor" desert camouflage & a nice unit badge.

We are also planning to release the announced Vampire and Meteor sheets, also having in mind the respective new kits announced by Airfix for this year. Here we also made some really interesting discoveries and will therefore be able to propose several wholly unknown, colorful schemes. :)

HD48029  &  HD72059 :   Hawker Hunter F.4 / FGA.9 / FR.10 / T.66

- F.52 (F.4) Peruvian AF with colorful unit insignia,

- F.51 (F.4) Royal Danish AF with colorful unit insignia,

- F.51 (F.4) Royal Danish AF in overall olive green scheme,

- FGA. 71 (FGA.9) Chilean AF in desert camouflage,

- FGA. 71 (FGA.9) Chilean AF in light blue camouflage,

- T.72 (T.66)  Chilean AF in tree tone desert camouflage,

- FGA.76 ( FGA.9) Somali AF in desert scheme and Soviet K-13 (AA-2 Atoll) AAMs,

- FGA 73 (FGA.9) Omani AF with experimental, assymetrical, scalloped edge grey disruptive camouflage,

- FR.10 Omani AF with grey camouflage and combat mission markings.

HD48037  &  HD72048 :  DH Vampire FB.9 and FB.52

- Iraqi Air Force in sand/brown camouflage 1959
- Egyptian Air Force in aluminium overall 1956
- Jordanian Air Force in dark green/dark sea grey camouflage 1962

- Saudi Arabian Air Force in aluminum overall 1959

HD48038  &  HD72038 :  Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9
- F.8 Egyptian Air Force in aluminium overall 1956
- F.8 Syrian Air force in dark green/light earth camouflage 1956

- FR.9 Syrian Air Force in dark green/light earth camouflage 1956

- F.8 Royal Danish Air Force, in grey/dark green camouflage 1951

- FR.9 Ecuatorian Air Force in aluminium overall and red nose 1974.

Guten Morgen Diego!

Well, that's very good news, thank you. If only I could get my hands round any of those beautiful Airfix 1/48 Hunter kits, but strange enough; you can get all of the recent Ruskie releasements (i.e., GWH/Minibase Flanker family kits), but the Brit Hunters and Buccaneers are nowhere to be found. :hmmm:

Wouldn't want to believe it's got anything to do with that filthy Gorgon Crook in government and her left-wing political friends in the world, you know... :rolleyes:

Auf Wiedersehen.

Finally! Been waiting for the Hunter sheet for ages! Glad to see it's finally coming to fruition. Definitely one or two sheets for me from Hannants! Oh.. and the Vampire and Meteor sets are also an obvious choice at the same time... can't wait!

Well, you can always order from us directly.

Of course, Hannants UK carry our entire programm and there are also many distributors in "continental Europe" too.

You will find a not exhaustive list on our ( old ) website www.hi-decal.eu.

About the Hunter decals. It would be nice if there is one for the Republic of Singapore Air Force

The Italeri boxing of the Academy Hunter from 2012 ish  had 6 decal options including Singapore, so they are out there in spare decal files.
