Etched items for Tamiya 1:48 armour

Hi all,

Just getting back into modelling after a long break but armour this time, something that's relatively new to me.

The kits that have tempted me back are Tamiya's 1:48 KV-1 and Stug III Ausf G.

I know Hauler do a set of replacement grilles for each kit, but I can't find a UK stockist. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or towards alternative options please?

Thanks in advance

Matt

Thanks for that. I could not find a list of stockists on their website despite looking. I'd tried Hannants but they don't have what I want, Armour Models website is no longer live but I'd not heard of Parabellum.

They are definitely worth trying as they specialise in 1/48th scale.

Ironically enough, I've just receive and email from Hauler informing me that they will be at Telford next month and if anyone wants to pre order any items from them or Brengun they will bring it to the show and when you pay for it, you will receive a 15% discount. https://hauler-brengun-preordershop.webnode.co.uk/e-shop/

email or phone with requests,   the website is no longer updated and basically useless... I think the owner has lost the password as well....

I suggest looking through the quarter kit site in France, and then ask Parabellum if they have anything you want.

As Troy advises Parabellum is very good, I'm a regular customer and have found e-mail to work very well indeed. Nigel has a day job as well and the shop is open only part of the week. He has quite a range of Hauler etch but the Telford deal from the manufacturer is very good.

Polish Companies Part and Aber do alternatives and Eduard covers some too. The Hauler sets are, IMHO, the best balance between complexity and cost especially if you're not used to etch assemblies.

Part do some 1/48 etch sets too.  You can get these from Jadar Hobby in Warsaw, along with RB Model's 1/48 gun barrels and the limited range of Eureka 1/48 towing cables.  They can be trusted: I've spent ££ hundreds with them.  You can also trust Modellbau Koenig and Der Sockelshop in Germany.  I've bought direct from Hauler and they were fine.

There's a new seller on eBay called Redog who have some 1/48 resin stowage sets alongside more established names like Black Dog and Adalbertus.  If 1/48 is to be your thing, check out Gaso.line in France: http://www.gaso-line.eu/gaso-line.htm.  I've bought from them too with no trouble.
