Aeronut 1,110
He also went to the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop where he saw the other Huey he flew. This aircraft is still in the markings it had on the islands. Indeed he told me the story of how the Huey got its white colour scheme. He went to a store in Stanley and bought white household paint and brushes and then painted the aircraft himself. It was a pleasure to meet him.
John_W 2,693
Nice story. My Brother was part of the REME/AAC team that salvaged them and got them airworthy again.
