Erwin
Hi all, My second build in this GB will be the 1/48 th Italeri F-117. Converted into a Luft'46 based on a build I did earlier this year using the 32 nd Italeri kit. This was, IMO, the only modern jet usable to convert due to the straight pannels. At the time I called this the Me 117 E "Adler" Edited November 22, 2019 by Erwin 8
Corsairfoxfouruncle
This should prove very interesting. Im looking forward to the results. Dennis

Dennis I won't be able to make an exact copy of the 32 nd scale one. Since I normally only build in 32 nd and 24 th scale,I don't have anything extra to add. I have no 48 th leftovers from other WW-2 kits. The big Adler has two torpedo's,MG's and bomb/fueltank racks. Corsairfoxfouruncle
You can always ask in the wanted section if anyone has any spares they’d like to get rid of ? You might just get them for postage ? Dennis

Erwin
Hi all, Just back home from a convention. I bought two cheap donor-kits and a missiles-set. The good thing is that I can still build the two plane kits later in a different type without the parts used. Henchel 129: will use the 75 mm anti-tank gun . Me 109: will use 2x20 mm guns + extra bomb/fueltank. I now have plenty to hang under my "Adler" Edited November 19, 2019 by Erwin

Erwin
First progress. As with my two 1/32 nd Adler models,I broke the tip of the nose. A weak point that I can fix with some filler. Changed the fin. Wing with dryfitted 75 mm cannon. I won't be able to use the missiles. They are to big ! The cockpit stays empty as I will paint the windows as tinted glass Edited November 22, 2019 by Erwin
Erwin
Merging top and bottom. Note the extra tail part. Once the filler is sanded, the main build will be done ! Edited October 28, 2019 by Erwin
Erwin
Added some weapons. 75 mm cannon 2x20 mm cannons support for extra bomb/fueltank. Still missing a torpedo. Will find one somehow. Then I need to decide on a paintscheme.🤔 Gray-brown-green ? light green-dark green-gray ? sand-green-brown ? etc... Erwin
I came up with two options for the camouflage. ETO: medium gray/light green/brown . Black underside MTO: sand/brown/light green. Light blue underside. Just need to decide now.🤔
Erwin
Painting the three-tone camouflage doesn't go as planed. I'm not happy with it. Over to plan "B"

Will have to be a splinter pattern or overall single colour.

Hi Erwin, I paint by brush only, try using a cotton bud lightly dipped in brush cleaner, small blob of paint and work it round, should give you a mottled appearance with practice. Erwin
I've decided to go with a "night-ops" Adler Not sure how it will turn out.Fingers crossed. Edited November 6, 2019 by Erwin
Erwin
Now that I've decided on a "night-ops" Adler. This is done with 80% matt panzer grey + 20% gloss varnish to give it a soft shine. Underside will be black (once I have a torpedo) Edited November 7, 2019 by Erwin
Erwin
Good news. Help is on the way from Revell. I wrote to ask if I could buy the torpedo parts from the 1/48 He 111 kit. Edited November 22, 2019 by Erwin
