I have built the kit straight as it comes from the box, using Vallejo acrylics. The kit went together with relative ease, it didn't require too much filler, and has a nice amount of detail. I have attempted adding some highlights to the top coats of paint, and am happy with the overall effect. It has been a really enjoyable build and I heartily recommend the kit.
