Vlad
No, still not a typo, this is another kit conversion project. Starting point is the Tamiya 1/700 Repulse kit, with various work done to backdate and convert to show HMS Renown in her clean and graceful interwar appearance. I won't go into too many details as there is a WIP thread here: I've chosen to focus my effort in this build on the major conversion elements and hence I've kept the rest clean and simple with only strategic use of photo-etch and no major super-detailing. I'm aware there are some issues with paint finish roughness, I was fighting a nearly empty pot and decided to press on and finish rather than wait to buy a new one, which may not have been very wise but I'm still happy with the result. I just aim to do something a bit different! Thank you all for following the build and encouraging along the way! 😁 Edited October 17, 2019 by Vlad
ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday Vlad, I believe these ships had very graceful lines, and I like the clean look you've given her. Regards, Jeff.
Courageous
Looks great, just needs a nice sea base now. Stuart

Ha ha, if I sea based my waterline ship models I'd need a new house! 😲 A good sea base does look fantastic, but I'm not up to making one and I prefer the shelf space flexibility.
