ho590hm
Interesting Luft 4x subject. Any bets on whether it gets issued before the York and K-7?
Col.
How big a model will this thing be? Also, just thinking out loud, will there be a Soviet, RAF, or US scheme included in the decal options...

That would give a length / wingspan if approx 38cm/21cm. A decent sized model - about the same length as TSR 2 Allan

Well, The York was first announced about 3 years ago. Haven' t heard any more about it since then. I believe some pictures of early test shots for the K-7 appeared on BM some months back but again, I don't know how this is progressing. However, if all three appear in 2020, I won't complain! Not just Luftwaffe 46!. I reckon this could be used in just about any Sci Fi scenario you like! 😊 Allan Edited October 17, 2019 by Albeback52
Madoc
An injection moulded Sanger Silverbird! Awesomeness! Up until now, the best we had in this scale was one of Renaud's fine creations. Sänger-Bredt Antipodal Bomber SILVERBIRD

Looks very very modern. I must have it - to company of Haunebu U.F.O. It's absolutely 40th. years era fantasy technology, noting modern. If reading Russian & English version Wikipedia we know that the project contained numerous serious technical errors that made impossible any successful flight of this fantasy. B.w. Have a Russian technical manual about suborbital aircraft , but not understand it's Silbervogel project or "Keldysh bomber project" B.R. Serge P.S. But have interesting story beside this project. Robert
I wonder if they have to put a disclaimer on the box to say this did not happen and is pure what if. Regards Robert 1

Regards Robert To be honest,, I don't see why they should need to.Unless of course the mere sight of the Luftwaffe insignia and/or any Swastikas upsets the model police? I would think, in any case that there might be some explanatory information with the instructions stating that it was a proposed design that never took off (no pun intended). cmatthewbacon
I think they could have had more exciting box art! The Silbervogel was the first “skip glide” design, skimming off the atmosphere several times in a flight. A Silverbird at the point of skipping, surrounded by incandescent air, would be a much more exciting (and distinctive) view. It’ll make a neat pair with a 1/72 X-20 Dynasoar, its spiritual and mathematical heir... best, M.

Regards Robert I don't think so. In case of Revell's Haunebu saucer it only became a problem because Revell kits are sold in Toy stores where children could be mislead to think this was real (Revell than revised their description to make clear the item was fake and never existed). Nazi flying saucers are part of a special segment of radical right conspiracy theories (Neuschwabenland, 4th Reich, ...) so selling them without appropriate context was a big, fat red line in Germany (especially as neo-Nazi movements and "new rights" gain traction again everywhere). The Wave and Squadron saucers never caused any turmoil as they are only sold in "specialist" hobby stores or online, away from the eyes of the general public. Btw., I will for sure get a Silverbird myself Cheers Markus
