1/72 Special Hobby Hispano HA-1112 "Movie Star"

Recommended Posts

I've been building  a few Bf-109s to include a couple odd variants. This Buchon stood out and I really like it! Some might consider it ugly but something about it is attractive to me. Built OOB which included resin exhausts and wing cannons and finished with MRP paints. Nice kit but being "short-run", it does require a bit more attention while fitting parts. Probably got the positioning of the radiator flaps wrong...but thoroughly enjoyable build!

Looks great, as does the Avia.  Very nice paint finish and very evocative of the film.  It has been terrific to see so many of the B of B film Buchons back in the air.  Good old Connie Edwards RIP.

Personally not a fan of the buchon when masquerading as a 109, but that is a very nice model.

I think they look rather nice in RAF colours, one was painted like that to play the part of a hurricane the the Battle of Britain film.
