JOCKNEY

2020 27 June to 18 Oct Chopper / Helicopter / Autogyro / STOVL GB

Recommended Posts

Often the bridesmaid and never the Bride. We are long overdue a whirlybirds GB. So here's your chance.

I thought by including autogyros and STOVL as well we would encourage as many people as possible participate.

You can put me down for an interested party.  I've got a Seahawk, Cobra, Lynx, and Seaking in the stash for certain off the top of my head.

Though the likelihood of actually having the time to do it is totally up in the air.

Great! This looks like the perfect excuse to build an AH-7 lynx i have in the stash, count me in 👍

At the suggestion of @Hockeyboy76I've included STOVL as well, which give even more scope to building out of the ordinary.

I have a Huma Flettner Fl282 "Kolibri" which I have been wanting to build for a long time.

Cheers Pat

Some would say great minds think alike, some would say coincidence, others would just say cobblers!

Stick me down my good man.

Im also nominating @nimrod54 & @Hewy

Ive had no luck with Helo’s or Harriers ! Maybe i can try again @JOCKNEY. Go ahead and throw me on the list, maybe if i can find a loach or an Cobra i will go with them. Vietnam or JASDF for markings.

Count me in. I need to do more helicopters and it’s been far too long since my last Harrier.

Almost certainly, I need a nudge to build one of the several many whirly winged types I have in stock. Put me down.

Steve.

If Harriers and Yak-38s are included then yes I'll play.

Pat old boy.. fancy seeing you lurking around here trying to solicit interest from mere passers by?

Now I don't have too many choppers in my stash, however I've been itching to build one of my 1/32 Matchbox Puma's (sans proper decals), so this might just be the impetus to get me going.  @Hockeyboy76 - you know I've got way too much on to even consider this... but it looks to be a good cast assembling, so why the hell not?

Cheers and good luck with this GB proposal... Dave

Ahhh... something I can believe in.  Perhaps I'll do something aligned with that age old expression, "a WOC is something that you fwo at a wabbit".  If you're familiar with Fort Wolters during the 60's and 70's, you should get the inference.

Go on then - Wessex me up!

Matchbox and Novo in the stash somewhere - unless some kind soul comes up with a 1/32 Scout in the meantime. 🙏

ooh - just found an Italeri one as well - triple build perhaps?

Gosh only if this could have come sooner, I could have planned my Hind build for this one, finished the frog monsters and kept Pat happy!!!  As if!!! :wicked:

Well here's another chance to annoy make Pat's day! :tease:

Someone must have been looking at my stash as I have a few that are actually in the planning stage and was just trying to find and excuse to build one of them.

1/48

Kitty Hawk AH-1Z Viper

Italeri HAP Tigre with conversion kit to AHR-1 (to be built for junior as he did work on them in the Army, now on Drones)

1/35

Kitty Hawk AH-6J/MH-6J "Littlebird"

Kitty Hawk MH-60L Blackhawk

Academy AH-1Z Viper - coming soon

Now if someone did a good Vietnam era Cobra??

As I am likely to still have a couple of Harriers in my stash in 2021 add my name to the list.

Put me down as interested.

I have no helis in the stash, but it would not take much persuasion (I.e. none) to add one of the Bristol’s to the stash (Sycamore or Belvedere).
