1/72 Italeri B-57G - Vietnam

Recommended Posts

Just finished this one earlier today.  The old Italeri B-57G kit with an Aires resin pit and replacement bombs from a Hasegawa weapons set.  Raised panel lines were sanded away to give a better finish for the fuselage join.  Little bit of re-scribe work on the wings for the wash to take.  EZ line for the wiggly amps.  Airbrushed free hand using Tamiya acrylics.  Great kit to build and I have the standard B-57B kit in the stash somewhere as well.

One more for my Vietnam collection.

Great paint job, love it.

Interesting subject to boot.

What were the Tamiya colours you used.? Straight out of bottle or mixes?

XF61 Dark Green

XF67 Nato Green

XF85 Rubber Black

Very good with an excellent finish. The Italeri kit does fit where it touches and you have wrestled it to a great looking model. I  have just finished the Italeri A26 Counter Invader using slightly different Tamiya colours. I had to mask mine though 😏

Cheers bud,

The Counter Invader looks superb in the SEA scheme - I hope that we will be seeing yours?

Phil,

Beautiful Canberra, and very, very nice airbrush work to get scale soft-edge demarcations, especially without any masking! The G is such a nasty-looking Canberra and you have done her justice. Well done, especially as the Italeri doesn't really fit all that well- nice job! 👍

I think John, aka @canberra kid is going to like what you've done with his favorite modeling subject.
