Ran
Been using Stynylrez for a while - following discontent with other primers and some web research Not sure I've got it dialed correctly as I get poor and uneven cover, lickage marks, pools and maybe orange peel. I'm using my Grex at 20psi (tried anything from 15-25), undiluted as instructed. Anyone can suggest why do I get this crappy results and how to improve it? AliGauld
Hi there, I've had similar issues with Ultimate primer (Same Stuff) and found that the plastic needs a good clean before application of the primer. I give the surface a wipe with ultimate airbrush cleaner. The bottle especially the white needs a long shake to mix it properly. Then I use 20 to 25 psi on the airbrush but misted in 3 or 4 light coats the first being a tack coat to give the further ones something to really grip to. There is a video on line from the International Scale Modeller Channel which shows in detail how to to get it right. Hope this helps Cheers, Alistair
