Windy37
Last weekend I was in North and Mid Wales spectating on Britain’s round of the World Rally Championship . I thought I would share a few photos. Some are clean cars , some very dirty , straight off a stage . Model car “weathered look “builders take note ! Thanks for looking , Gary . And now some stage fresh cars !

JeroenS
Dirty and parts missing, that should make a nice build!
Windy37
Proper rally cars ! The teams spend a fortune on aero bits , that then get trashed in the forests !
keefr22
Nice pics Windy, but for some reason I just can't get interested in this generation of WRcars - I thik it may be that for me they've gone too far with the aero bits (probably the same reason that I never really liked the last generation Sport quattro!! ) Keith

I think the current WRC cars look a bit extreme with the aero bits , but they are so quick and you can see the aero working when you look at ride heights off stage and then at full speed on stage . The are certainly being pedalled hard ! The base this year was Llandudno, teams service area spread around car parks on the front . This was ok , but not as good as other countries where the service park is one big collective venue . These days I enjoy watching at service parks and regroups which is where my photos come from . Chasing around forests and being told where to stand doesn’t appeal to me now . Got lots of great memories of doing that in the 90’s though , speeding around the country in cars then vans , sleeping on the move . Great times ! I remember coming down the A1 to Yorkshire , 2 am , and Gwyndaf Evans coming past in the pink Sierra Cosworth doing about 100 mph chased by his service van ! That is if you can call him finishing in the top ten and me in the bottom ten competing....!! Keith
