Paint mule - an excuse to play with the airbrush

I'm pretty new here, so I've had to learn some new lingo.

The one I like the most is the paint mule.

So today, after playing il 2 sturmovik on xbox for too many hours I decided I needed to go any play in the shed.

I picked an old f117 off the shelf cleaned the dust off and got it ready for a bit of practice.

It's one of my first models since getting back into it. And it's terrible.

I was testing out oil stains and stuff when I built this.

I also hadn't discovered decal fix solutions.

I decided that I'd start from the beginning and give it some 'have blue' treatment.

Remeber this is just me, arsing about in the shed on a Sunday. Trying to get some feel for my airbrush before I go ahead and start the outside of my beaufighter.

So then it's add a bit of grey.

Whoops, too much, some white maybe?

Another cote of grey? Why not?

The photo doesn't show it, but the grey has a little blue tinge to it from the 'have blue' undercoat.

I now understand why people have 'paint mules'

This f117 will have no problem with paint coming off and being detected by radar. In a week or so, I'd surprised if can take off, what for the weight of paint.

Had real good fun today, and got some more feel for my airbrush.
