You can build anything from foamcore board. Or buy a couple of big bags of charcoal from Amazon. The box they come in is big enough to use as a 1:1 Henschel turret... best, M.
Niall
I've just noticed at the very end of the video I posted the link to, Pig models have released a Russian 76mm HVAP(APCR) round as well.

Thanks Niall. As a T34 fan that would be an interesting comparison with the considerably chunkier 88mm round. Will see how I get on with building/painting my 88mm before I "shell" out for another.... HL-10
This company has now produced the 88mm round that was used by the King Tiger/Jagd Panther/Elefant!

ModelMonkey
That's exactly what I've got - still in the box in the man cave. I'll start it once I've finished my 1:24 Trabi. Only 4 pieces so construction not too hard but a lot of prep needed to get the surface ready. It's a got a bit of a depression round the tip. Looking forward to it though. Kingsman
I'd be interested to see what you use to get a realistic brass finish on the case. Or will you be going for the steel-case option, which is probably just as difficult with the lacquer finish?
ModelMonkey
I'll be going brass - but aye, any metallic finish can be tricky!
Niall
I've found using a yellow undercoat gives a good finish on brass and gold parts, although I have not used the method on anything that large.
ModelMonkey
Good tip thanks. I've not really experimented much with metallic from rattle cans, either lacquer or otherwise so it'll be a learning experience!
