Dave_R
Hi All, Well better late than never, but I've been fully occupied with the D-Day GB. So I can't hang about building this, especially as it's an incredibly detailed kit - 22 parts for the ejection seat alone. I'm going to finish it in these colours:- Shindand 1985. modelling minion
Great to have you join in Dave, and with what I'm sure will be a very popular choice. Very interested to see how things go with this as Modelsvit do some interesting subjects.

Dave_R
Hi All, I've done enough of the cockpit to move onto putting the fuselage together. There's some bits of lead held in with Blu Tack in the limited space available - hopefully enough. Dave.

Dave_R
Hi All, I've got most of the building done. There seems to be a problem with viewing images, so can you let me know if these images are viewable or not. They are exactly the same image but hosted on different sites - I can see both of them no problem - but... Dave.
exdraken
Very nice! And I can see 1 (above) pic in your lat post but that one is worth a reply Edited October 11, 2019 by exdraken
modelling minion
Same as Werner Dave, just the top image showing. But as Werner says it shows excellent work and also shows that your build has moved on rapidly. How has the kit been to put together?
Dave_R
Very strange, the top image is on Flickr and the bottom is on Google Photos which I've used for a year with no problems until now. I prefer Google Photos, something must have changed, but I don't know what. I'll have to use Flickr for now. 1 hour ago, modelling minion said: How has the kit been to put together? Tricky, very tricky. All the bits fit quite well if you're careful, but its complex and locating things like the wing fences and pylons is not made easy. But with a bit of patience and skill it makes a nice kit. Not really for beginners though. Dave.
Dave_R
Hi All, Here's the pics from above that failed to appear. It's very strange and annoying - I much prefer Google Photos to Flickr Anyway I've finished with the Cockpit. ...and made a start on the paintwork. It looks a horrible mess at the moment. I decided to go with the hairy stick due to the intricate four colour camo - and because I had those colours in enamel and not acrylic. A couple more coats and it should be OK. modelling minion
Very nice work Dave, and I can see all the pictures! That cockpit looks very nice indeed especially the instrument panel. I can see why you chose a brush for the paint scheme in 1/72, and it looks good so far.

Dave_R
Hi All This is as far as I've got. Unfortunately the company I work for has been messing me around like you wouldn't believe and so I'm working all day on Saturday. I only found out about that 2 hours ago. Which is better than the job they wanted me to on Monday for which I only had 45 mins notice - in ******* Felixstowe of all places. And I've had to prepare for a meeting... therefore I've got no chance of finishing this. To be continued in KUTA. Dave. 3
modelling minion
Very sorry to hear that you won't make the deadline Dave but I completely understand, don't you just love when work upsets all your plans. I shall look forward to seeing your build completed in the KUTA GB.

exdraken
This is really looking great so far! Looking forward to seeing it finished When and whereever!! Are you going to arm it as well? probably the best Fitter model out there in any scale currently....
Dave_R
9 hours ago, exdraken said: Are you going to arm it as well? Yes, I'm planning on drop tanks, cluster bombs, rockets and dumb bombs. 9 hours ago, exdraken said: probably the best Fitter model out there in any scale currently.... I think so - the detail level is more like a 1/32nd kit than a 1/72nd - makes it slow going though.
