Hi All,

Well better late than never, but I've been fully occupied with the D-Day GB.  So I can't hang about building this, especially as it's an incredibly detailed kit - 22 parts for the ejection seat alone.

I'm going to finish it in these colours:-

Hi All,

I've done enough of the cockpit to move onto putting the fuselage together.

There's some bits of lead held in with Blu Tack in the limited space available - hopefully enough.

For some reason Dave I can't see the pics in your thread, I just get a couple of lines of text that flash.

I don't know what's going on I can see them and I'm not doing anything different - hopefully it's a temporary problem.

Hi All,

I've got most of the building done.

There seems to be a problem with viewing images, so can you let me know if these images are viewable or not.  They are exactly the same image but hosted on different sites - I can see both of them no problem - but...

Very strange, the top image is on Flickr and the bottom is on Google Photos which I've used for a year with no problems until now.  I prefer Google Photos, something must have changed, but I don't know what.  I'll have to use Flickr for now.

How has the kit been to put together?

Tricky, very tricky.  All the bits fit quite well if you're careful, but its complex and locating things like the wing fences and pylons is not made easy.  But with a bit of patience and skill it makes a nice kit.  Not really for beginners though.

Hi All,

Here's the pics from above that failed to appear.

It's very strange and annoying - I much prefer Google Photos to Flickr :swear:

Anyway I've finished with the Cockpit.

...and made a start on the paintwork.

It looks a horrible mess at the moment.  I decided to go with the hairy stick due to the intricate four colour camo - and because I had those colours in enamel and not acrylic.  A couple more coats and it should be OK.

Hi All

This is as far as I've got.

Unfortunately the company I work for has been messing me around like you wouldn't believe and so I'm working all day on Saturday.  I only found out about that 2 hours ago:swear:.  Which is better than the job they wanted me to on Monday for which I only had 45 mins notice - in ******* Felixstowe of all places:swear:.  And I've had to prepare for a meeting...  therefore I've got no chance of finishing this.

To be continued in KUTA.

Yes, I'm planning on drop tanks, cluster bombs, rockets and dumb bombs.

I think so - the detail level is more like a 1/32nd kit than a 1/72nd - makes it slow going though.
