T-55 Mod.58

Egypt - Sinai 1973 war

Tank-mania

1/48

WIP

purchased especially for the GB and no regrets!

nice kit, a first for me again! a "modern" tank, and completely resin (but the wire for the tow cables)

you will not believe it, but Tamiya is to release one in 48th  2020.... :)  the tank mania kit was great though!

so, here it comes, adding to my Near-East Wars personal GB :)

A promise kept - my sort-of Finnished T-55 finished in time.

Diorama base is only borrowed from an earlier Matchbox Jagdpanther build.

The kit is Revell T-55 AM/AM2B in 1:72. Nice kit!

All paints by Humbrol and brushed on. I painted EVERYTHING black first, and then almost drybrushed the other colours on.

Decals - the Finnish roundels - came from an Airfix BAe Hawk kit. It lacks the registration numbers.

So, this is not an accurate model of a Finnish T-55 M (for Modernized) but on a wargaming table this could do fine. Thanks to @PlaStix for running the GB . V-P
