delticfan
I know I’m not comparing apples with apples but which is the “best” kit if scale wasn’t an issue, the Tamiya 1/48 MkIII Lanc or the 1/72 Airfix new tool with Upkeep bomb and trolley. As per link above:- 32044 Avro Lancaster B.Mk.III “Dambusters” in development for release in late 2019-2020. Price to be confirmed but we really hope we can keep it to somewhere between US$349 & US$399.
Rickoshea52
The Airfix kit builds nicely. I had a few self inflicted problems with mine though, I found the bomb aimer’s beam windows and cockpit canopy side panels troublesome. I would still recommend it. delticfan
Thanks, for the advice going for the Airfix one, seems to have a bit more soul than the Tamiya (can’t explain that exactly) but the WNW one is being observed closely hopefully around the £400 mark maybe? Whitewolf
The HK Models 1/32 Dambuster is out and available - detail looks good in the box
Bell209
Having built the Tamiya Lancaster here, I'd go with the Airfix kit, too. The Tamiya one needs a lot of detail work to make it as nice as the Airfix one out of the box.
