ResKit do early and late Hercules wheel sets, a bit spendy but if that's what you really want....

Is a not "early" and "late" wheels. This a BF Goodrich and UTC Aerospace rims and brakes. Both use in presents. Early (50-60ers) and Mid-Early (for 70-80ers) rims hawe a some different exterior details and GY Aircraft Leader or Thompson tires (not a modern GY Aircraft Rib or Michelin Aviator!) . European operators has use Dunlop tires.

Arma AM7293 Volumetric rivets set for the Zvezda C-130E/H. I ordered these in November! And this morning on April fools day I finally received them. These were available from Arma Russia if purchased with the Zvezda C-130 kit. An ebay seller by the name of “Ekatsmir” had these available, I don’t know if there are any more available, but here is a photo of the set, with the placement instructions from Arma. The number of the set is AM7293 if anyone is interested. I have never used these before, so if anyone has, I would appreciate any advice.

Sorry, this is a set of 3D raised rivet decals for the Zvezda 1/72 C-130E/H. They could also be used on the upcoming C-130J-30, as I don’t believe that the extension plugs had any raised rivets.

Hi Jeff,

If you’ve worked with Archer Rivet decals they likely are similar. He recently released a $200 set for the Trumpeter 1/32 RNZAF Dauntless and the first set is in a full build article at Large Scale Planes. In that thread the builder has advice on how to lay down the rivets in large portions. I know when I get my sets I will be reviewing that article again. I usually locate the bread by finding one of his other completed builds, a 1/32 Birdcage Corsair Reluctant Dragon.

Looks promising!  This'll be a big beast!  I thought that the J's lacked the external tanks, though.  Easy enough to delete them.

Most if not all the RAF stretched J's have had the external tanks fitted.

I'd say that enough -30 J's have flown with the underwing tanks to make it worth leaving them as an available option:

I am more curious about the second rendering, the one with the -J propellers with the -K standard refuelling probe and pipe work.

At least it suggests that the extended fuselage tooling includes the necessary features for an RAF C.3 (except the tail fairing), either for a cross-kit build or a future boxing.

Anyone know if there's any update on a release date for the C-130J? Rather looking forward to this one.

Hannants now have a 1/72 Xtradecal sheet for the walkway lines that will cover the early and late colour schemes and also a sheet of markings for the H/K version with a couple of GW1 options and an overall green stretched ‘K’.

Hopefully Zvezda are still aiming to release a long fuselage ‘J’ soon. This would allow a fair few options by cross-kitting the ‘H’ and ‘J’.

Ordered a set from the same seller ages ago and they haven't turned up yet. At least you give me some hope that they might appear.

Let me know if you need a set, I sold 2 to scooby and have 2 left, of which I definitely need one.

Did you really? I need to check and see what you sent me! I thought I bought one! Total bonus if I bought two!

I don’t think yours will appear, I ordered from the same seller and mine never arrived, he did provide a refund. My gut says he never shipped and until Jeff and I contacted him he didn’t ship Jeff’s order either.

I sent you 2, because you had ordered 2, and I had ordered 3, and he sent me 4! Originally I was going to use mine on 2 Herk’s, however my second Herk is in 3 shades of camouflage, and OOB, and I don’t know if they would even be noticeable (ceiling dweller).

I checked my pile of Herk goodies, and there’s just 2 left, so you must have 2.

I wonder if I posted it on Scalemates as a new release, Arma Models might get with it! Lots of Zvezda Herk owners out there.
