Greg Law
Beautifully done Moa. I have built this kit. One of the few older builds I have in the cabinet. Your rendition is unique and interesting.

A nice little airport -nothing over-ambitious- would be nice to create and play with.

fjaweijfopi4j48
My son wants to do this in 1/48th (the heretic!). Arctic Decals released the set in that scale too, including masks:
Jeddahbill
Sensei Moa, Your results are stunning! I find myself tempted to pursue Arctic Decal for a civilian JU-52. How did you find these to apply to the corrugated surfaces of the JU-52? My experience with Print Scale yielded the following which required copious amounts over several days of Micro Sol, Micro Set, Walthers, and even a touch of Tamiya extra thin cement. I found it to be an unpleasant ordeal. Can better be realized with the Arctic Decal solution? Your guidance is much appreciated, Bill From the Abyss of Southern California

Your guidance is much appreciated, Bill From the Abyss of Southern California Bill, from one creature of the SoCal abyss to another: First: what scale are we talking about? 1/72? 1/48? (if you excuse my language). Second: I am glad you are tempted to come to the luminous side of the force, that photo you posted made me turn my dinner. Jeddahbill
Moa, My plan is a civilian Ju52 float plane utilizing the 1/72 Italaerei kit reboxed by Revell with Lufthansa decals (which are very ancient and belong in a museum). Many thanks . . . .

Many thanks . . . . I see.. But the Arctic set is for an Argentinian machine, I don't quite follow. As a general answer the decals are thin and good, still they do require prodding and convincing and the application of fluid. But they behaved much better than any other decals that I have used on corrugated surfaces before. The Arctic Decals set has specific instructions regarding application. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Jeddahbill
Many Thanks Moa! I am not particular about the livery, the kit comes with decals for Lufthansa and Condor, but are more brittle than the Book of the Dead. I am keen on a civilian float plane version and it appears will probably have to seek a solution beyond the Arctic. Bill
stevehnz
I'm glad this has made a re-appearance, I can't imagine how I missed it before with those oh so bright red wings. Quite wonderful though. A joy to behold. Steve.
