Pete's Kitech 1\32 Blue Thunder *Finished*

Recommended Posts

Finally I have an excuse to build this one not exactly the best kit but I have plenty of old spare PE hanging around that I could use some where.

I discovered that I had started the cockpit but as I will try and unpick it and repaint so I hope this constitutes the 25% rule.

Take no notice of the box blue thunder is in there or so the big label says.

On with the picturesspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

Cool. I read that Roy Schneider only did Blue Thunder so he wouldn't have to do anything for Jaws 3D.

Oooo 80s tv classic.

The TV show was a spin off from the classic Movie with Roy Scheider, of note they waited til all the filming was done before doing the loop stunt in the modified Gazelle, just in case.

Nice  - the kit is a copy of the Monogram kit from the 80's. I passed mine on because of the scale (I wanted to get the Aoshima 1:48 kit but waited too long....)and because of the canopy: The plastic parts were frosted on my kit .

Should make a nice display piece with some elbowgrease 👍

Hello just a friendly reminder that we’ve reached mid point of the build.

I will be restarting soon as I have my mojo back so I am currently playing catch-up.

Finally got the thing sewn up but it left me with a few gaps to be filled and I have it sanded and nearly ready for painting.

And the canopy has been masked.spacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png
