A Fujimi RF-4E in the "Woodpecker" boxing. I've always liked those Japanese three-tone schemes.

A week of varied acquisitions

All in 1 USB Card Reader with a hard plastic case to replace one with a rubberised coating that has started to degrade into a sticky mess.

Sharpie Ultra Fine Permanent Marker Pens for fine detail work to replace pens that had dried out.

Airscale 1/48 PE48 DET Pilot’s Notes Etched Brass Cockpit Details for busying up some future projects

Haynes Lancaster the Inside Story  , mini-sized hardback not the larger Owners Manual  but bought second-hand ‘as new’ for just under two pounds including delivery via Amazon.

Caught  up with some new and back issue books and bookazines from various publishers ‘Black Friday’ sales –

SAM Publications  with 30% off -  MDF 34 McDonnell Douglas Hornet Modeller’s Datafile & MDF SD 11 Grumman A-6 Intruder Modeller’s Datafile Scaled Down.

Key PublicationsAeroplane Icons Series - Lancaster , Hurricane , Vampire , F-86 Sabre , Spitfire , Stirling , Swordfish ; War Archives Series Britain Alone 1939/40 , British Tank and Aircraft of the Cold War ; Air Forces of the World Series European Naval Air Arms , Western Europe , South America all for 1.99 each except the last which was full price.

Finally a couple of 1/43 Police diecasts from eBay to add to the collection -

Lledo Collectables Vanguards PP1002 Special Edition Dunbartonshire Constabulary ‘Pinky & Perky’ Hillman Imps , never saw the originals which had an impressive equipment fit for their time and were imaginatively used along Loch Lomondside in the late 1960s for Abnormal Load Escorts and Accident/Rescue work ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/-danophotography/33097265314  )  although my first car was a Singer Chamois (an Imp with a fake wood dashboard).

Corgi Classics D708 Ford Cortina Mk.I Police , rather bland generic  unidentified scheme with a West Sussex Registration , maybe one of these days I might get round to modifying rather than just occasionally collecting Police diecasts.

Nothing model related apart from a pot of Citadel Abaddon Black. But we have bought a new radiator for the Sitting room after the ancient one started to leak. Less than I thought it would be and it puts out a lot more heat than the other one, probably as it is a modern convection type.

Abaddon Black or Chaos Black as was like most of the range is an excellent paint and glosses up really well with a coast or two of Klear if needed , bummer about the radiator but good if it is more effective.

This. A lot cheaper than they usually go for (actually about as much as I paid for the standard version in a store a few years back TBH). Been wanting an additional kit for a while but been put off by some of the silly prices. Anyway, here you go:
