Hello everybody... Well like my X-wing I'm going to call this one done. It is my take on Green Twelve it is in an alternative scheme as its primary duty would be to sit near known Imperial depots and shipping lanes as a long range scout. C0C1UAk.jpg

As someone already remarked, this was a quick build, even for me.  Less than a week from start to finish.  I changed kits midway through and switched from a Heller 109B to a Hasagawa 109G since it more closely resembled the Herge drawings--wingtips, prop and spinner...The decals are from the excellent Blue Rider Tintin Collection and I have been itching to build this Bordurian Messerschmitt since I was about 10 years old.  Great snakes!  Has it been almost 45 years?  Thundering typhoons!  In any case, here is the aircraft that Tintin borrowed to fly back to Klow and return King Ottakar's sceptre to the King of Syldavia, thus averting disaster for the tiny, fictional, Balkan land.  Bravo Snowy!

All the paints are Vallejo or Vallejo Air...other decals are from leftover AZ/KoPro Gustavs...The Hasagawa kit is pretty much OOB.  Fun, fun, fun...

Incom Corp T65 X-wing fighter.

This is the Bandai 1/48 scale kit in the motorised boxing. Batteries in the stand operate the wing movement and power LEDs in the engines. The model is designed to be clipped together and not painted. This works out quite well but I did use some paint and glue.

Here's is the Revell Spitfire Mk.V in the livery of the fictional land of Khemed, a Middle-Eastern country in the Tintin books.  In the original pre-WW2 version of 'The Land of Black Gold' the Spitfire was a British Mk.V with English roundels, a la British Palestine.  The 1951 second edition had the Khemedi Air Force in the air dropping leaflets on rebel leader Bab El-Ehr's camp.

All the paints were Vallejo and Vallejo Air.  For some reason I didn't have the landing gear so I cannabalized  some from an AZ kit.  Lo and behold...I think they are from the same moulds.  Is this possible?  In any case...and, yes, the decals are supposed to be pointing in those directions!  At least that's what the Blue Rider monograph showed me.

What's next?  How about a San Theodoran Mi-1?

Amodel's Mi-1M 'Hare' as seen in 'Tintin and the PIcaros'...

Terrible kit, really.  I know that better modellers could have turned out a better build than mine, but I am not concerned with that. Still,  it would be nice to have a better moulded 1/72nd scale of this helicopter to build.  It was such a ubiquitous bird in the air all over the world and in so many different guises and for so long.  AModel had(s) several variants to choose from.  I think they are all pretty much the same. And I had fun building this one!  The decals are from the Herge's Aircraft decal set.  Paints are all Vallejo Air/Vallejo.  Onward and upwards...my first Mosquito* awaits...😁
