hsr
This is my Anigrand 1/72 Bell HSL-1. The HSL-1 was the first helicopter designed specifically for the ASW role. It lost out to the Sikorsky HSS-1 Seabat because it was too noisy; imagine the poor sonar operator trying to listen for faint signals with a P&W R2800 blasting behind him. I can best describe the casting of this kit as uncharacteristically crude for what I have been used to in Anigrand kits. But while it required a lot of sanding and filling, and I am not completely happy with the way it came out, it went together in just 11 days. Not much else to say so, here it is. And speaking of crude, next up is the Unicraft X-36. Being Unicraft it is the usual shapeless blobs of resin that only appear like and aircraft if you use your imagination. I am not sure if it is build able yet. Enjoy
John_W
The design looks like it should be in splinter camo with black crosses on it. Nice build.

It looks ike it should have been chained down to the ground to me! Cracking model, tbh not one I've seen before, neat work! Keith 1
hsr
It always looked unfinished to me with the engine "nacelle" open like that.

opus999
Despite the difficulties, you've made a terrific looking model! It's a really interesting subject too.
Tailspin Turtle
The HSL was noisy inside but that really wasn’t the issue that resulted in its cancellation (the sonar operator wore a headset).
