Ian Who? What?! The tube has arrived! "Aha!" I thought, "I can finally use the Dremel Workstation! If I turn it through 90o I can use a cutting disc to chop little bits off the tube!" Ah. If you rotate the holder the handle goes with it and the tool goes side to side… Rats. At least I can use it to drill out the window holes… Nope. Maximum diameter for the chuck is (check 'net for specs - nothing) er, less. Double rats. At least the tube fits in my mitre block: So the Workstation can go back to its usual role: A hanging place for the flexible shaft and somewhere to hang my magnifier. 3 1 1
CedB
OK, 14 opening windows I count in Alan's post. I had said that the tube would fit in the mitre block but actually it sits a bit proud and it's easy to get things out of line: Rats. Luckily I have spare blades. I found it easier to tilt the blade at about 45o on the edge of the bench and gradually rotate it level. Soon done: I don't have a 5.2mm drill ( or a 7/32" one) but a 5.5mm drill still gives a tight fit. Two done: I can see there that I need to tidy up the edges a bit more and will do so on the others. I've also dobbed some Klear in the panel lines / rivets around there; can you see?
Biggles87
Great razor saws but very brittle blades, I have one that looks exactly like that. I’m greatly impressed by your Dremel equipment, it makes mine look like something you would take to the antiques roadshow so is probably worth a lot of money. We shall see… Certainly needs a tidy up. In other news I've been thinking about the 'glass' for the windows. Remember this? I bought it for the… er…(quick search)… Nimrod to 'make a template' for the intakes. Didn't work. I think it will work for 14 bits of glass cut using the Silhouette Portrait and I can use the same design to cut the masks. I knew it would 'come in'… 9

The Spadgent
Ooomph! Lovely work so far Ced. I would have suggested Mr Surfacer air brushed on as a primer to fill those panels, no sanding required either. Your solution seems to be working well though.😇 it’s been yet another busy week at work so not a lot of BM action. Glad to have caught up with the boat however. Oh sorry, ☺️ Aeroplane. 🥰😅😇 lovely internals. Happy you painted the other side of that curtain too. 🤓 johnny 1
