GWH 1/48 P-61B as "Cooper's Snooper"

Hello all;

 

I present here my recently completed GWH P-61.  The short version is that I really enjoyed this one and think it came out quite well.  The only missing is the drop tanks; inexplicably they are missing from the kit (or at least missing from mine) and one day I'll add some.  All comments welcome!

Wow that's a real beauty you've put together Mark! I've always wanted a Black Widow; now I must go get this one!

Love the paint work and the exhaust streaking. The modulation in the black is nice and subtle, the way I like it, and it makes an otherwise monochrome finish look interesting. Of course, the nose art adds some interest as well.

An ominous looking black beauty. 😀 Awesome looking P-61 Mark!   Have you had any experience with the 1/48 Monogram Black Widow?  I've had one in the stash for 30 years now.     This beauty of yours makes me want to dust it off for sure!

Very nice Black Widow Mark. I like your treatment of the black - I feel that many people overdo the fading and "modulation" and end up with, well - grey. This looks very convincing. I have this kit and your model has inspired me to fish it out and build it.
