- Nose tire width 22.35cm (8.8in)

- Nose wheel rim diameter 38.1cm (15in)

- Main tire diameter 116.84cm (46in)

- Main tire width 43.18cm (17in)

- Main wheel rim diameter 50.8cm (20in)

Ah. Someone has beaten me to it. As I write there are over 30 mains and about the same in nose right by my bench at work!!

I can confirm though the the wheel hubs are always light aircraft grey ( and sometimes white) while nose wheel hubs generally white.

Interesting news. I've never liked 1/144 scale . With many airliners, particularly the Airbus -320 series and, Boeing 737 series being of relatively modest dimensions, I felt that 1/72 is a perfectly practical scale.

It's the small scale that's put me off building airliners for the most part so, this is welcome news.Hopefully, they can provide an option to allow it to be modelled in dirty configuration with everything hanging! I think the larger scale might have more appeal but, that's obviously just a personal observation.

Now,before anybody has a go at me, I would just like to state that I am a very practical person and, if a subject I particularly want is only available in 1/144 then I will turn to the dark side as a matter of necessity!  A 1/72 An-225 would be too much, even for me!😂

It will be 1/72 kit!

First announcement has been made in 2016.

But first there will be B737-800 in 1/72 and then A320.

There is no doubt we will get a detailed cockpit. The one in their 1/72 737 was very nice and I have noticed a dramatic improvement in part definition and molding quality between the 1/72 737 kit and the more recent 1/144 CRJ-900 so this 1/72 A319 should be quite something.

I can only hope they will also tool the IAE engines, fully ducted turbofans are my thing.

I say Non Stop Big Planes Kits!!!
