1970 Toyota Celica

Hi all,

 

I'd like to build a model of the series 1 Toyota Celica saloon for a friend who used to own one.

So far I've seen the Hasegawa and Aoshima models in 1:24.

Has anyone made these models and any opinions which would be best quality wise.

Also most seem to be in Japan, does anyone know of stockist in the UK or Europe.

I can't help on which is best between Aoshima and Hasegawa on this one I'm afraid. I know it's a '77, but as far as I know this is the same body style as it was in 1970.

I would prefer the Hasegawa ones.

Years ago I built one and was a fun to build. I got the Aoshima Fastback in my stash and I guess it'll ask for more work to look fine in the end.

Domino bv in belgium got 3 or4 different version in stock.

Can I suggest searching the internet for build reviews of each kit. I do this all the while and not only does it help decide which kit to build but can also warn you of any potential problems you may find during the build. Hope this helps.
