EC-47 from the Airfix (new mould) C-47 kit ?

Hi Folks,

 

I wonder if anyone has tackled a EC-47 Electronic Warfare variant from the Airfix new mould C-47 Skytrain kit ?. I am particularly interested in suggestions for formulating the elongated nose radome. I appreciate there are other airframe modifications but the nose seems to be the most challenging to get right shape wise.

Seems like someone (Flightpath?) produced a resin radome for just such a conversion on DC-3/C-47 kits in the past.
