Online publishing is now starting to find its way into the modelling community. KLP Publishing is one of the new online publishers, specialising in eBooks for the scale aircraft modelling community. Their debut title  Building Brick’s Sabre in 1/32 Scale: A Scale Tribute to K.J. "Brick" Bricknell  reviewed here has proved to be a success. They have since done titles on the Bird Dog, Spitfire XIVe, AEG G.IV Late, FW 189, and He 219. Their latest title tackles building Revell's new tool 132 P-51D. This was done by modeller Jan Gabauer. As well as the normal build it brings us a review of the kit and art work by Juanita Franzi. Also of use to the modeller is appendices covering Aftermarket, and reference work available for the kit.

Conclusion

This is the type of publication that the new digital format is made for. If you want a book for a specific build having a digital publication saves you space on your bookshelves. This is clearly a book written by modellers for modellers. The text is clear and concise and the great selection of crisp pictures is welcome. Highly recommended.

I bought it when I saw it on LSP. Good book. :) I do not have the kit (but a couple of Tamiya and 1/48th versions) - and found it pretty useful as a reference for the cockpit for example. Good product!

Thanks for the kind words! As it happens, this title has just been updated to v1.6, and is on sale for only 10 Australian dollars for the rest of this week.

Good price Kev and the web publishing is a great idea.  I picked up the Me 262 night fighter publication this week so can recommend this type of publication as an inexpensive aid to a build.  Keep 'em copming

Yes! When any of our books get updated, the latest version is automatically available to anyone who previously purchased it. The trick, though, is that you needed to be logged in to your account when you made the original purchase (or have kept the original email with the download link). Once an update is made available, you simply log in to your account and re-download the new version from the Downloads section of your profile. If you don't have an account (or weren't logged in to it when you made the original purchase), simply create one, and then contact me to let me know you'd like your previous purchases assigned to your account. Once that's done, you're good to go!

Thanks. I found that out the hard way sicne I had no username nor did it want my e-mail.. ;) But i think I have the e-mail when i purchased it, still! Oops though..

I highly recommend creating an account, as it will give you easy access to all future updates, including for any other of our books that you might purchase. If you do (create an account), let me know, and I can assign your purchases to it.

Just a quick note to thank Julien and the team for setting me up in the Vendors section here, which is available at the following link:

https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/forum/749-klp-publishing/

I'll be posting announcements, news and updates there from now on, though of course I will also respond to any questions or comments made here or elsewhere in the forums.

Great little (!) e-book - 97pages of info on the kit and how the author went about building his version! Bought my copy in June 2020 and referred to it constantly when building building my Revell Mustang. Sadly I then had a complete loss of mojo for 6 months as I got to the painting stage and it was Jan 2021 before it got finished! But the book is a great reference. Also has a couple of appendices on aftermarket products, with hypertext links to the product pages for those impulse buys......:evil_laugh:

Definitely a recommended purchase for anyone wanting to build the Revell P-51D (early) and I would also suggest for the new P-51D (late).

Wow. Thanks Kev. That’s a great offer. I’ve bought a few build it books for hints and tips only to see a revised edition coming along later. To be able to update a purchase this way is a HUGE plus in my opinion. Well done

and good to see you on the vendors boards too

Thanks, John. In many ways I see our eBooks as living, evolving entities, rather than static 'things' - more like software than books, in a way. But there's an article on our website that goes into more detail about how the book updates work:
